Transaction Account Guarantee Program Notice

United Commerce Bank has elected to participate in the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (FDIC) Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under this program, your noninterest-bearing transaction accounts with United Commerce Bank have unlimited FDIC deposit insurance through December 31, 2010. The Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to the FDIC’s standard insurance coverage of $250,000 for all other deposit accounts.

The standard insurance amount currently is $250,000 per depositor. The $250,000 limit is permanent for certain retirement accounts, which includes IRAs. The $250,000 limit is temporary for all other deposit accounts through December 31, 2013. On January 1, 2014, the standard insurance amount will return to $100,000 per depositor for all account categories except certain retirement accounts, which will remain at $250,000 per depositor.
Because the unlimited FDIC deposit insurance coverage applies only to noninterest-bearing transaction accounts, please be aware that transfers from these accounts into interest-bearing accounts may reduce your coverage.
